How to set up a remote monitoring system so I can monitor my home from office?

AT&T has a remote monitoring system where you pay a couple hundred bucks and pay a monthly fee to have camera access to your home on internet. Is there any other way that is cheaper and independent of a supplier like ATT?

YES JUST GO TO BEST BUY AND BUY THE SOFTWARE YOUR SELF AND SELF INSTALL ALL OF THE CAMERAS THAT U WOULD LIKE THE SOFTWARE WILL GIVE U AN IP ADDRESS SO THAT U CAN MONITOR FROM ANYWHERE AS LONG AS U HAVE INTERNET ACCESS.
