Ok, my hard drive is failing in my laptop computer (hp pavilion) so I figure its time for an upgrade. I did some research and found that the one in it now is a 4200rpm ATA/100 interface drive. While looking at replacements I saw many different options
No. The laptop hard drive slides in and mates with a fixed connector. Because of this and other reasons, you can not change the hard drive from one buss ATA to another SATA. You must use an ATA/PATA drive.
