what is the importance of Data Bus (bus speed) in computer motherboard.?

can explain the importance and essential of Data Bus in contrast to processor speed and memory.because processor works in G.Hz and memory works M.Hz and motherboard data bus works in M.Hz. so for overall performance of an computer which one is essential.
