What is a replacement monitor cable for a Sony Vaio desktop to original flat screen monitor?

The original cable is starting to fail. The color changes (red to blue to yellow) when the cable is moved or bumped. This happens quit a bit cause I have the monitor hooked up to my laptop that has a cracked screen. I'm too cheap to buy a new laptop
