Can I transfer media from my PC to my PS3 using a USB flash drive.?

I put songs that I have on my computer onto my flash drive then I plugged it into the usb slot on the front of the 60 gb PS3, but it said "no tracks" on the browser. Do i have to format something differently? it is a San DiskCruzer Micro USB
Your Media Format could be wrong! for PS3 try .wma, acc. or the universal format mp3 but if the songs are in midi they wont work because that format only works on computers not ipods, mp3 player, ect.
