3D Computer Animation Industry, Blender, and the path to being a succesful Animator?

Hi, I'm really interested in Animation. I'm currently trying to learn Blender, and I was wondering if that was a good start or if I should use some other kind of program if I decide to work in the Animation Industry. (I'm in Highschool)

There are plenty of people who use blender and are very good that are still in high-school. One of the best scripters I know is only 9.
