I've got a problem w/ my laptop HP Pavilion dv9420us http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/compu ters/notebooks/dv9000z_series/rts/3/comp uter_store/GA354UA%2523ABA
Sometimes I can not adjust monitor brightness using Fn+F7/F8 keys or using Windows
i have the same laptop but haven't experienced this problemthe best advise any one can give you is hp. go to their website and just chat with a specialist.
