Computer name tab is missing in system propreties?

Hi,
the computer name (or ID) is missing in my system propreties. When I right click on my computer icon and select propreties it doesn't showh up anymore in the tabs. I've tried to acces it by clicking in network connections on advance/Network
Sounds like something corrupted the registry. Try using XP System Restore (Start --> Programs--> Accessories -> System Tools -->System Restore) and choose a date prior to the problem. If you get a message telling you to pick another date,
