How much of a difference is there between a 7200 RPM and 5400 RPM hard drives.?

I recently purchased a Dell XPS notebook that came with a 200 GB hard drive at 7200 RPM. After i bought it though i saw a 320 GB XPS notebook at 5400 RPM for only 50 dollars more. So what is the difference between the 5400 and 7200 RPM speeds.
1,800 RPM is the difference.
